2000 - 2001Isolation and identification of anti - breast cancer components in cranberry and their free - radical quenching properties. UMass Dartmouth Cranberry Research Fund $27,500 (funded in June, 2000)

2000 - 2002 Use of chitin to recycle nutrients in aquaculture effluents and residual dyes in textile wastewater. Chelsea Center for Recycling and Economic Development. $37,846 x 2 (being funded in 6/00).
