Abstract:

This course studies the representation, analysis, and design of discrete signals and systems. The main objective is to give participants the knowledge to analyze and design digital signal processing systems. Topics include a review of the z-transform and the discrete Fourier transform, the fast Fourier transform, digital filter structures, digital filter design techniques, analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog data conversion, quantization issues and effects of finite word-length arithmetic, sampling and aliasing issues, and sampling rate changes.
